Bringing together three diverse sectors - retail, app gaming and adult - a panel led by CAKE's Ewan Darby will pitch to the audience their view on traffic quality, what a sophisticated approach to publisher sourcing looks like in their eyes and the mechanisms they put in place to deal with fraud.

Grabbing Local Audiences with a Programmatic Approach

Programmatic buying is taking over the advertising industry as we know it. Forecasts point to 61% of all European display inventory being traded via automation by 2020, and with smartphones fast-becoming the number one gateway to the web, programmatic is set to hit the streets in a big way.

Join xAd’s head of programmatic, Imran Khan, as he unlocks the potential of mobile location marketing with a programmatic approach. Attendees will learn to recognise the importance of real-world targeting whilst Imran shares key tips for the campaign preparation phase and imparting wisdom gleaned from his own group’s work with KFC.

Expect a run-through of tips for running local programmatic campaigns as automation scales yet another barrier.

Should Brands Offer 0% Commission for Existing Customers?

Incentive publishers have evolved their offering in recent years, yet an unnerving trend from some agencies and advertisers is rearing its head. Is it unreasonable for advertisers to reduce commission to or near 0% for existing customers?

Faciliated by Vouchercloud's Chris Johnson, our discussion will journey through the reasons for doing this and the after-effect for all parties before asking whether such an approach really is the way forward.

For any publishers, advertisers and agencies wanting to argue their case on either side, our floor is open to opinion.

Search for 2016 - Understanding and Mastering SEO on All Devices

Optimising your website for Google used to be about keywords and backlinks. Today, creating quality content and delivering a great user experience are the most challenging issues for site owners.

In this session, Searchmetrics' Malte Landwehr will highlight the events and technological innovations in 2016 carrying the largest impact on search marketing, giving attendees a blueprint for optimising their website for both humans and Google.

This walkthrough will cover everything from understanding key points of focus and mastering the Knowledge Graph to incorporating apps and AMP into a mobile SEO strategy.

The Future of Programmable Marketing

In this increasingly ad-hostile world, opportunities for consumer engagement are becoming all the more fleeting.

To get the most from these moments, marketers need to move away from black box programmatic buying that gives everyone the same functionality and bring strengths like data and client insight to the digital battleground.

AppNexus' Nigel Glibert and Bannerconnect's Sebastiaan Schepers will explore the 'programmable marketing system' - unique to every brand - and how this will unlock new, agile marketing capabilities that go beyond mobile and into the internet of things.

The Next Wave of Customer Acquisition Techniques

Driving new customers through affiliate marketing is an important objective for advertisers. However, last-click rewarding mechanisms and current attribution strategies impose challenges for targeting new prospects, making it harder to allocate budget towards areas with high customer acquisition rates.

Embracing new ideas like advertiser cross-industry co-operations, zanox global project manager Florian Wallner presents a crash course in targeting new customers right at the start of their journey.

The discussion will also touch on how large advertisers have become publishers in their own right; selling their traffic to enable cross-selling opportunities for other brands, thus reeling in new business and adding further opportunities for monetisation.

Expect plenty of useful techniques from Florian as he delves into creative methods of optimising affiliate's role in the customer journey.

The misconception that automated ad-selling is stifling creativity will be put to the sword as Rutger de Jong, VP of customer success for marketing automation platform Yieldr, and Jenny Jenny Keijers, manager of display advertising in Europe for Office Depot Europe, use PMI to showcase programmatic's full potential.

Using actual campaign cases, the pair will breeze through the ins and outs of a strong programmatic effort, covering data activation, creative execution, media strategy and campaign optimisation from both upper and lower-funnel tactics.

The audience will discover how to leverage programmatic in a creative manner for everything from brand awareness and product launches to customer engagement and sales conversations.

The Lowdown on Re-Engaging Your Dormant Affiliates

Having thousands of publishers on your affiliate programme counts for very little unless they're actually doing something. Dormant affiliates represent a channel-wide issue, regardless of the brand’s or the programme’s size. Publishers switch off for different reasons and re-engaging them is no easy task.

Care must be taken in selecting the very best methods for getting publishers to work with you again, as the wrong approach is only likely to drive an undesired effect.

Seasoned PMI speaker Geno Prussakov will be on hand to deliver advice on the above with plenty of actionable tips for programme managers to take back to the office.

The New Lead Generation Model

Lead generation may be a marketing imperative, yet so many campaigns are based on outdated models that fail brands and cost thousands in wasted investment.

Over 30% of leads generated by marketers fail to meet even the most basic of advertiser requirements, and yet most of theses issues go undetected.

Emma Bowkett, CEO at Convertr Media, will be presenting a dive into how and why marketers need to address lead validation, and with an emphasis on unified and real-time measurement.

The session will also feature a fireside chat with Michelle Davis, director of digital & CRM at Fiat Chrysler Automotive Group, to discuss the group’s own experiences in gaining new leads.

Leveraging Cross-Channel Insight to Drive Performance

Performance marketing has become increasingly complex, with a wealth of data being produced across channels. With this increased complexity, brands and agencies have focused on building channel-specific expertise, and it is now harder than ever to extract actionable insight to drive performance gains.

Insight can come from anywhere; any team, any channel, any data source. So, how can you surface the insights that matter?

A session from Suzie Rafla, head of performance at Havas-owned agency Ecselis, will explore these questions in-depth whilst providing examples of how brands and agencies can set themselves up for success in performance marketing.

Baking Influencers into Your Affiliate Strategy

A great deal of effort has gone into creating payment models and educating the next generation of publishers - bloggers, Twitter fanatics, Instagrammers and more - into how affiliate marketing can work for them. Now, it’s time for brands and agencies to recruit their very own ambassadors for new and exciting ways of driving awareness of their campaigns.

Two moderators from CJ Affiliate by Conversant - Jules Bazley and Tomas Saulsbury-Hunter - will take to the stage at PMI: Europe and delve into approaches adopted by their own group before allowing the floor to raise their own questions and advice for accommodating the influencer.
